More Space and Energy

Design concept: More Space and Energy

The project transforms the energy performance of the building and creates new forms of living and a new experience of space.

More space

The existing housing no longer meet the expectations of modern living: small, disjointed and poorly lit spaces are therefore converted into spacious apartments. Consistent vertical and horizontal spatial relations allow to experience the house as a whole and promote natural lighting and ventilation.

More comfort

A new image for the efficiency of home-Plus

The architectural expression of the Efficiency Housing building conforms to the site and its usage and at the same time recognizable as such. The proposed façade combines wood and PV panels. This combination creates an intimate and sympathetic picture of the building.

More flexibility

A Generation House

The building houses all generations under one roof. However, instead of creating a unified "one-size-fits-all" offer, the apartments are specifically tailored to the needs of the tenants.
The ground floor has two barrier-free senior housing. These are directly related to the exterior. The room sizes are deliberately kept flexible so that the small apartment can be used by a family or a younger pair. With little effort, the apartments will be converted for wheelchair use (see floor plan cut-EC). On upper floor and attic, two duplex apartments were created for families.
