The cube marks the northwestern end and at the same time the access to the campus of the University of Lausitz. With the compact building volume a memorial is set with clarity and conciseness. With the eaves height of the adjacent buildings is taken. On the ground floor is a public registration area  located, which serves as a foyer. Assigned to the foyer is the central function room that can be used by all tenants. For access to the building two staircases were planned. The spacious and open plan staircase, which is accessible from a central foyer and distribution lobby serves as the development representative for the visitors. The second staircase allows separate development of laboratories and serves escape staircase. A passenger lift provides a barrier-free access to the building. A freight elevator is assigned to the workshops and laboratories, and made possible by the wide hallway and a direct connection from the car park via a ramp smooth delivery. The upper floors are in the basic structure of the same design and can be zoned according to user requirements and expanded. Each story must include a laboratory, workshop and office areas and common areas and a supply and development well. The main objective of the floor plan is the maximum flexibility in terms of a variety of different layouts and uses. The laboratories provide a clear internal structure in terms of their size (each 49qm) and technical equipment (vertical shafts and horizontal distribution zone) before. The construction height of 7.20 m is divided by expanding grid of 1.20 m. This means that the laboratories divide among themselves flexible and include, where appropriate, the workshop area in a corner in the laboratory use. Laboratories is respectively associated with a storage area in which a small cold storage can be accommodated.
