Office history

Drexler Guinand Jauslin Architects is an up-coming international architectural office established in 1999 in Frankfurt, Zurich and Rotterdam. DGJ realized over 20 residential, public, and private buildings, especially in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, and obtained eight awards for construction work and designs. By 2011, DGJ have won prizes in more than 20 competitions, including 7 times 1st prize.

Our specialty is sustainable design and energy-efficient construction. Therefore we are experts in energy efficient buildings, passive houses, and Minergie-standard: techniques which we can employ for refurbishment and new buildings. We develop urban infills for leftover sites in the city, and renovations or modernizations of existing structures.

In our opinion, good architecture requires culturally rooted approach, and a strategically flexible design methodology. With sustainable thinking in design, DGJ work on all scales of the architectural composition, from the landscape to the fabrication of details, combining strategic vision with passionate craftsmanship.
