The aim of the project “Côte Sauvage” is to translate the refurbishment and the recreation of the bank areas and the public bath of the lake Géronde in a multilayer sense. The natural impression of the east bank is supposed to be renaturated, and the public bath is handled in a similar manner. The existing swimming pool is expanded with three new swimming pools and a wellness basin. The bank is enhanced by stairways, wooden flippers, and a natural landscaping which creates a new sensuous reference to the lake Géronde.
Apart from the entrance buildings, the existing cloakrooms have been refurbished and expanded with a service zone along the east side along the rock wall. With the enhancement of the boardwalk, the compound as a whole is embedded into the countryside in a new fashion; the act of bathing is celebrated and portrayed.
